Saving my friends

After escaping the Special Circumstances invasion, I found David hidden in the woods. We had to verify if David’s parent were OK. I felt really bad because I had the feeling that they wouldn’t be at their house. David was one of the only person with whom I was fully comfortable since I knew a lot about him. I couldn’t believe I wasn’t able to say to him that I originally was a spy and that the Special Circumstances invasion was all my fault. His parents and friends were maybe dead, his only home was destructed all because of me and he still loved me because he didn’t know it. We finally found that his parents weren’t home so we decided that it was time for us to start helping everyone. There is only one way to help them; by going to the Special Circumstances and help them to escape. We are now back on our way to Uglyville, my original town, where I haven’t gone for a while without regrets. 

The troubles I caused

I surely made the biggest mistake of my entire life yesterday. After talking to David about our relation and that he told me he loved me, I decided to burn the necklace Dr. Cables had given me to retrace me when I arrived to The Smoke. I never activated that necklace because I wanted to wait a little bit. When I finally decided that I wanted to stay in The Smoke and destruct the necklace, I thought that all my troubles were gone but I was clearly wrong. This morning, I realized all the damages I have caused by coming to The Smoke. The Special Circumstances had arrived to The Smoke and were destructing everything and capturing the Smokies to bring them back to their original town. I feel so bad. I can’t believe this is all my fault. How could burning the necklace made them come here? I really don’t understand. I’m so shocked. I have to escape and save my friends. If this is all my fault, I want to repair the damages I made. 

Friendship before love?

Since I am here, I started to help working in the woods. In The Smoke, everybody has to contribute to help society survive by cutting trees. I first though it was weird and made no sense, but by thinking about it, I find it kind of cool. Not only we work outside all day long, but we also live in a place where there is no money and no other choice than exchanging things to have other things. It is called barter economy. Working in the woods is done in teams of two. It is obviously not the safest job, but it is necessary. To protect my hands, David gave me his only gloves. They were really great gloves and I was happy he gave them to me. However, when Shay saw that he gave this precious object to me, I realized that it wasn’t fair, for a perfect stranger like me, to receive this gift while his long term friend Shay should have had the right to get them. I feel really bad because I have the impression that Shay now thinks that David likes me more than her. The problem is that I think I’m starting to like him too…

Going to the smoky place

I finally decided to do the trip all the way to The Smoke. I was scared at first but I’m surprised about how I became brave during this trip and how it changed me. I followed Shay explanations which were written on a piece of paper with secret codes so that nobody but me could understand it. It was a pretty long and challenging trip, but I made it, with the minimum of necessary objects (spagbols, water purifier, sleeping bag, etc.). When I finally arrived at the little mountain where we had a meeting, Shay came to get me to The Smoke which was not really far, with her friends David and Croy. Immediately, I felt like Croy didn’t really trust me. Also, I never thought about it before, but I realized that Shay and David seemed to be lovers. It feels kind of weird. They all started to ask me many questions and this is when I started to lie to them. I first didn’t feel really comfortable about lying, but as the day passed, I was really surprise about how lying was easy. It was actually scary to realize that I was starting to like this game. The only thing I didn’t like, was how some things in The Smoke were so different from Uglyville. For example, I couldn’t believe they cut and kill trees to make tables and other similar things to survive. However, I can’t ignore the fact that I am starting to like it here and that I am now sleeping more deeply than ever.
